DBA/Data Analyst (2035483)

Job#: 2035483 Job Description: General Overview: Cross functional Data Engineer – cross over skills/duties with DBAs and Data Analyst Traditional DE duties: DW development, Data pipeline architecture, build out ETL infrastructure, SSRS and PowerBI reporting Additional Duties: File/Data transfers, internal team support, data analytics, SQL query tuning, Current state, all packages and DW built out in SSIS/SSRS – will be moving to PostgreSQL and Aurora (AWS) over the next 3-4 years Any pipelines not in SSIS currently are in Azure DevOps, deployed with ADO pipelines Using PowerShell as a catch all scripts -using for SQL to Postgres transition, loading GIS shape data (geoshapes from maps for crops) GO Anywhere – handles the MFT transfers and scheduling (whatever GO cant handle – write PowerShell scripts for) Soft Skills: Eager and willing to learn Team player Nice to haves: Go Anywhere PostgreSQL Aurora AWS Must Haves: SSIS/SSRS PowerBI SQL PowerShell Team/Organization 3 main areas within company (Underwriting, Sales, Claims/Accounting) 1 Data Engineer assigned to each to acts as liason Each of these teams would have a PO and PM with one or more scrum teams
