The Head of North America Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging is responsible for shaping and leading a comprehensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B) strategy to attract, engage, develop, and retain a powerfully diverse, talented workforce. This role drives a culture of inclusion and wellbeing that unleashes the potential of all team members across the organization to create impact. Reporting to the SVP US HR & NA Personal Care HR, this role leads the DE&IB strategy for both the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute a short-term and long-term strategy for DEI&B that is future-fit, innovative, and aligned with business goals.

Establish a plan that addresses DEI&B in multiple areas across the organization, considering and not limited to: retention and development of diverse talent, training and learning opportunities, recruitment strategies, corporate initiatives, and community engagement.

Leverage external insights and extensive DEI&B experience to drive impact and effectiveness when planning the annual strategy.

Prioritize initiatives and lead through others to deliver DEI&B results in the North America business.

Build employee engagement through Business Resource Groups by supporting Executive Sponsors and developing growth goals in partnership with senior leaders.

Partner and lead the North America Executive Leadership Team and HR Leadership Team on all matters DEI&B related.

Advise senior leadership on navigating complex issues.

Work effectively across global teams and matrices to assure alignment with worldwide Unilever DEI&B strategies and priorities.

Liaise closely with internal counsel and other required stakeholders to assure compliance on all initiatives including data security and federally required nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity policies and programs.

Serve as chair of the Unilever Diversity Steering Committee.

Lead and manage a team that implements the right activities, practices, and policies to foster employee engagement, build a truly diverse workforce, and assure an inclusive culture.

Remain current on all trends and best practices related to the enhancement of DEI&B initiatives.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging programs, preferably within North America market.

Bachelor and/or Master degree in a related field preferred.

People leadership experience required.

Strong analytic skills and the ability to summarize complex data and information.

Demonstrated DEI&B expertise and track record of successfully developing, implementing, and executing impactful DEI&B programs.

Expertise on relevant US and Canadian DEI&B related laws, reporting requirements and data compliance required.

Passion for high performance and strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and lead both individuals and teams to ensure a culture of trust, transparency & compassion.

Innovative and agile mindset.

Proven influencing, business, and communication skills at all levels of an organization, including exposure to executive teams and complex stakeholder environments.

Experience in consumer goods sector and working in an international company preferred.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $210,600 to $421,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
