Position Summary

In this pivotal role, you will support commercial clients through telephone and written requests, efficiently process monetary transactions, and manage both scheduled and non-scheduled loan maintenance. Our team is committed to fostering the growth and servicing of our commercial portfolio while delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.

As a Lead Specialist, you will execute essential processing tasks while navigating complex issues as you grow in your role. You will be involved in operational and administrative work that requires sound decision-making, escalating issues when necessary. A foundational understanding of commercial loans and servicing will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
– Administer moderate procedures, analyses, tasks, and reporting related to documentation for various products or processes.
– Review and ensure compliance with proper documentation for complex activities, and mentor less experienced team members.
– Identify and resolve moderate issues by adhering to established guidelines, referring more complex problems to senior specialists or supervisors.
– Provide exceptional service for billing inquiries, service requests, and customer feedback.
– Utilize independent thinking to recommend and implement solutions for complex issues, contributing to workflow improvements.
– Research requests thoroughly and communicate findings to requesters in a timely manner.
– Complete other duties as assigned, including special tasks and follow-ups to ensure accurate and timely transaction completion.

Daily Tasks Include
– Process monetary transactions accurately and efficiently, including Dollar Transaction Forms and Loan Initial Funding Requests.
– Balance general ledger entries via the Automated Posting Application (APA) and collaborate with the accounting department to resolve discrepancies.
– Post entries to the Hogan system, manage cashier checks, and process outgoing wires as needed.
– Handle requests via departmental Quest, databases, and KeyView system, including fee waivers and changes to account information.
– Conduct maintenance transactions on CLS, including setting up ticklers and managing monetary system changes.
– Review various reports meticulously to prevent customer impact issues and maintain system integrity.

Qualifications
– High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required; a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
– 2 years of experience with a strong background in commercial loan servicing.
– Solid understanding of accounting principles.
– Familiarity with systems such as CLS/CL3 and LoanIQ.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
– Proven judgement and decision-making skills, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
– Strong analytical, research, and problem-resolution skills.
– Proficient in navigating multiple computer systems to solve complex challenges.
– Understanding of banking policies, procedures, and government regulations.
– Ability to perform complex maintenance functions, both scheduled and unscheduled.
– Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations independently.
