Summary You will serve as an Equipment Specialist (Precision Instruments and Scientific Equipment) in Metrology Division, Systems Engineering Department, and Systems Acquisition Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Responsibilities You will coordinate technical efforts with other activities and organizations for timely completion of tasks in support of metrology and calibration programmatic objectives. You will prepare, coordinate, and integrate the acquisition and delivery of logistics support requirements for assigned Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment. You will identify technical problems and recommend solutions to higher authorities in support of assigned program. You will apply progressive working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of procurement regulations, negotiation, and budgeting to support assigned program/project. You will develop and process procurement documentation for Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment. You will interface with internal and external contacts regarding the latest developments in the metrology field, determining status on procurements, and resolving technical procurement issues. You will accomplish other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying advanced working knowledge of metrology and calibration procedures and practices in support of Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment; 2) Utilizing in-depth knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of procurement regulations, negotiation, and budgeting to support assigned program/project; 3) Identifying problems and recommending solutions to managers; 4) Preparing, coordinating, and integrating the acquisition and delivery of logistics support requirements for assigned equipment; 5) Coordinating with internal and external contacts regarding the latest developments in the metrology field, determining status on procurements, and resolving technical procurement issues, and 6) Developing and processing procurement documentation for Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment.
