Academic Outreach Advisor
Position Summary
DarkStar Intel is seeking a qualified Academic Advisor with an active TS/SCI clearance and Counterintelligence Polygraph to facilitate information-sharing activities with academic partners, enhance outreach efforts, and provide advisory support to academic institutions. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, familiarity with national security and foreign affairs, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Experience in academic engagement and strong organizational skills are essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews and disseminates information-sharing activities with academic partners and evaluates and establishes efforts to increase academic outreach and participation.
The Academic Advisor will be required to provide support or backfill gaps for advisement efforts with Academic Institutions.
Uses the DEIA Maturity Framework and Constituent Relationship Management Tool to facilitate identification, categorization, documentation, collaboration, and reporting of current and future Partners.
Uses the service request tool to receive, process, and monitor requests for specific services from customers and contractor staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Active TS/SCI
Current Counterintelligence Polygraph
Requires BA/BS and 3 years of experience or no degree and 9 years of experience.
TS/SCI with Poly level clearance is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including rules of composition and grammar, and the ability to clearly convey complex information and ideas to employees at all staff levels.
Familiarity with foreign affairs, partnerships, and outreach.
Knowledge of the national security, academic, and intelligence communities, including intelligence policy, IC missions, and interagency coordination, is needed to build and sustain effective working relationships and promote the sharing of information.
Experience working with academic institutions and organizations, including entities, associations, and groups facilitating threat information sharing with non-IC entities.
Interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including an ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment and to sustain internal and external professional networks to the customer.
Demonstrated ability to apply support concepts, principles, and practices while dealing with various time-sensitive technical and administrative requirements and procedures. Ability to manage competing priorities under strict deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail, good organizational skills, and outstanding time management skills.
Salary Range:
$125,000 – $140,000
This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary. When extending an offer, DarkStar Intelligence considers various factors, including (but not limited to) the jobs responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, market data alignment, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), and other relevant laws.
