Billing Clerk – Bridgeport, WV
Summary
The Billing Clerk is a key position within the accounting department. The Billing Clerk will handle all aspects of customer billings and be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of processing tickets and invoices. This position will report to the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately and timely process customer billing.
Work closely with the Credit Manager and Sales Team to help resolve invoice issues.
Take phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
Upon request, pull and send tickets, invoices, and statements to customers.
Assure proper policies are followed.
Knowledge of SOX requirements.
Compile monthly and/or weekly reports as directed.
Ability to research general ledgers and perform reconciliations.
Assist accounting department as needed.
Ability to interact with all levels of Company employees effectively and professionally.
Other duties/projects as deemed necessary.
Clerical duties such as data entry, filing, faxing, copying, mailing, organizing.
Education and/or Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years related work experience.
Must have excellent alpha/numeric data entry skills.
