Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both planned and predictive maintenance and breakdown repair.
Shift: 5:30-5:30, DuPont rotation
Starting rate: $30.69/hr plus $2/hr shift differential when working nights
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Installation: Install new equipment and systems, including machinery, electrical wiring, and conduit.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts orders.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve department and site goals.
Communication: Effectively communicate with engineers, production staff, and contractors.
Problem Solving: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
Facilities Maintenance: Perform general building maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing repairs, and groundskeeping.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Trade school certification or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
At least 3 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 3-phase power, control circuits, and various electrical devices.
Foundational knowledge of PLC systems. Extensive knowledge and experience preferred, including programming and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of plant utility systems, industrial machine repair, and machine tool operation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience using electrical testing equipment (ammeters, meggers, etc.).
Thorough understanding of and adherence to safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Computer literacy.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
