Senior Program Manager

Amentum is currently searching for a Senior Program Manager to join our team in Dayton, OH. The Senior Program Manager will plan, direct, control and monitor a program for the research, development, test and evaluation of advanced electronics to ensure satisfactory completion of program objectives and national priorities. The Senior Program Manager will oversee programs providing multi-disciplinary engineering analysis and support in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse systems and directly support the maintenance of the current base and develop and implement new business strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and technical leadership in the completion of multiple contracts, including responsibility for cost, schedule and overall performance
Plan and procure necessary staffing to achieve work completion milestones and deliverables
Monitor fulfillment of contract requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of services/deliverables to various customers
Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff and/or contracts
Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of engineering and program management activities.
Monitor customer feedback and advise on a broad range of issues related to products/services being delivered
Participate in business development including identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies and managing proposal development
Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of system designs to determine compliance with specifications and standards
Direct the investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Act as a point-of-contact for all matters relating to the assigned contract for representative between government personnel and Amentum management team
Provide management guidance and control for the efficient utilization of human resources assignment, performance, morale and overall welfare
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, technical discipline, or related field and at least 12 years of job-related experience or equivalent
Ability to provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance and leadership to effectively execute the objectives
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
Active Secret clearance required to start
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or coursework in specialized management preferred
At least 7 years’ experience managing DoD programs, highly desired
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional certification
Project and Program Management experience with successive growth in scope and responsibilities
Active Top Secret Clearance
