Facility:Dayton Childrens – Main CampusDepartment:SurgerySchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The nurse navigator will help families have a seamless surgical experience. The nurse navigator will coordinate key hand-offs and transitions, coordinate communication and updates and remove any barriers or friction points. The nurse navigator will work in partnership with the Nurse Managers and Director of Perioperative Services, Perioperative Staff, Anesthesiology, access teams, inpatient leadership, patient experience team, and physician leadership to provide a smooth patient and family centered surgery experience. The perioperative nurse navigator will be responsible for building a relationship with families and patients throughout the entire surgery process and will support and guide patients/families in understanding any procedures, tests, and treatment plans. The navigator helps create a seamless flow through the perioperative department so the patient/family can concentrate on their condition and procedure. The nurse navigator will be the main point of contact during the patient’s surgical experience.
Department Specific Job Details:
Dedication to acquire Bachelors of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire. Graduation from an accredited program of nursing. Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio.”
