Manager Process Improvement

Summary

Responsible for the implementation of Parkview Healths process improvement initiatives, project management and strategy. Oversees the Lean Leaders and Project Management Specialists as well as a portfolio of improvement projects for the system. Provides technical leadership needed to set direction and implement a world-class approach to process improvement, including selecting tools, establishing methodologies and implementing best practices. Assists with strategic planning involved with important and large-scale projects. As an individual practitioner, solves complex business and clinical problems and manages projects using advanced statistical, quality control and other process improvement tools.

Education

Bachelors degree required in a related field; Masters degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Six Sigma or Lean Black Belt certification preferred.

Experience

Previous experience in a leadership or management position required. Minimum of 3 years experience in process improvement techniques (Lean, DMAIC, DFSS, SPE, DOE, business redesign, TQM) and statistical analysis using computer statistical packages. Minimum of 2 years experience leading, coaching and facilitating continuous improvement teams, or major projects following a formal management approach. Minimum of 3 years experience in developing reports, delivering presentations/briefings, and interacting with management groups.

Other Qualifications

Must have successfully improved at least three major processes in a significant and measurable way (e.g. decrease order processing time by 35%). Skilled in the use of applied inferential statistics to design and implement studies that produced insights into major operational challenges.
