Are you ready to change the cloud? Oracle Edge Cloud extends OCI core services outside a traditional cloud region to solve for distributed problems. This ranges from customer data centers to the far edge running on modular and scalable hardware.

By enabling local edge computing we can solve for a myriad of customer challenges from data sovereignty, security, and privacy requirements to networking challenges like low-latency, network connectivity and lack of bandwidth.

You will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting engineering and business worlds. You can break down complex real-world problems to solve customer challenges and drive our product roadmap. As a product manager for Edge Cloud you will drive full stack cloud from the underlying hardware, to core IaaS, to customer solutions running AI that can operate in the most austere conditions in the world.

Our team works with creative engineers to design and develop technologies that enable our customers distributed operations. As a Product Manager in the Edge Cloud team, you will innovate, define, and execute Edge Cloud product strategy. You will collect customer requirements to define product specifications. Your expertise in cutting-edge Cloud and AI technologies, coupled with your strong product management skills, will be essential in guiding the development of Edge Cloud products

Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience in Product management experience (8 years), including Cloud computing and AI, with a proven record of delivering successful products

Deep technical understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure – able to define new features and functionality and synthesize them into what customers need

Experience with edge computing platforms and architectures.

Knowledge of IoT, 5G, and other edge-related technologies

Strong presentation skills, for both internal audience and external audience

Customer-centric, customer-facing, and problem-solving experience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the Edge Cloud platform, aligned with company goals and customer needs.

Market & Customer Research: Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and define product requirements. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to continuously improve the product offering

Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that outlines key milestones and deliverables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product development and launch. Manage strategic engagement with the field to help grow our business, take market share, and retain existing customers

Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market plans, including product positioning, customer support collateral, and launch strategies.

Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future decisions.

Product Representation: Communicate product plans, progress, and updates to internal stakeholders, including executives and team members.

Technical Collaboration : Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers, engineering, industry experts, and internal teams, to understand customer needs, capture requirements, deliver key features/products, and set strategic direction for a product portfolio, and find creative solutions to customer problems. Identify and mitigate risks across our full set of systems, particularly at the intersection of business and engineering.

US: Hiring Range: from $130,000 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
