SMX is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support and advance the Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271) to deliver and support survivable, reliable and endurable airborne command, control and communications for the president, secretary of defense and U.S. Strategic Command.
This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver Engineering artifacts such as, but not limited to:
Drawings
Circuit Diagrams
Support airframe harnesses for the PMA-271 Program
Retrieve technical data from the PMA-271 platform
Communicate issues regarding circuits on the airframe.
Required Skills & Experience
5 years’ experience with engineering of military harnesses and generating artifacts (drawings, wire tables, circuit diagrams, etc.) to support the fabrication and installation of such harnesses
Strong ability to interpret and identify parts, tools, and suitable substitutes for MIL circular connector and wire standards
Ability to clearly redline and communicate issues from source data to senior Engineers for investigation and resolution from PMA technical POCs
3 years’ experience with retrieving technical data from military platform maintenance / user guide systems; Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) or similar
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or and equivalent degree
Desired Skills & Experience
5 years drafting experience in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical
Experience creating inputs (diagrams, weights, weight/balance, procedures, parts lists) for ECP and TD documentation
Experience designing aircraft harnesses for fixed wing narrow body aircraft or larger platforms

The proposed salary for this position is:
$103,600—$155,400 USD
