Summary of Position:

The Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs performs and oversees all academic and student-related functions at Michigan College of Optometry, an industry-leading optometry college dedicated to producing outstanding clinical optometrists. Academic affairs duties include oversight of the curriculum, assessment, faculty schedules, student schedules, disciplinary actions, development of policy letters, and faculty and student handbooks. Student affairs duties include oversight of recruitment, admissions, registration, financial aid, recruiting, scholarship and awards, counseling, student records, and student organizations. The Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs assumes the responsibilities and authority of the Dean when the Dean is unavailable.
