We are the OCI Organizations-Management team. We own and operate a customer-facing service in the OCI console. Our service enables OCI customers to administer their hierarchies of tenancies, manage subscriptions across these tenancies, and securely configure these tenancies.
Were looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help us build new features for our customers, operate our service and improve our engineering process.
As a member of the OCI Organizations-Management team, you will work our product team and other engineering teams to define new features for our customers. Youll design those features and then write code to build operate them. You will help operate our service, troubleshoot problems and generally support our customers. Youll provide technical and project leadership to other software engineers on our team.
Youll bring 3 – 5 years of software engineering or related experience. Youve built operated cloud services. You have strong development experience with object oriented programming, such as Java and infrastructure as a code languages, such as Terraform. You demonstrate strong ownership, solid communication skills and a bias for action.

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff you will be working closely with software engineers from the various cloud service teams to build secure services and infrastructure that are fundamentally sound and efficient. Your influence over the design of the full system architecture is critical. You should be familiar with all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack; while having a deep knowledge in a few. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for solving complex problems of complex massive systems is a must. You should value simplicity and usability as well as security and work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment.
Qualifications :
3 – 5 years experience delivering and operating large cloud scale, highly available distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of C, C or Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python.
Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
Strong knowledge of databases, NoSQL, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Virtualization experience would be a huge plus.
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
