Laboratory Techninican

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician in Glenwood, IL.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Pay Rate:

The wage for this position is $17.00 hourly.

Summary of position:

Laboratory Technician will operate an optical microscope to examine samples and record findings. Will also operate and record results for machinery that performs analysis. This role is also reanalysis of radiation dose for dosimeters. The Laboratory Technician will be a self starter with high attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate optical microscope

• Operate machinery that conducts and produces analysis for radiation detecting dosimeters.

• Review data to validate results

• Perform routine machine operation, quality control, light housekeeping, record keeping , and calibration.

• Identify, review, and correct anomalies in laboratory activities.

• Implement preventative measures to eliminate reoccurrence of anomalies.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• No dosimetry or laboratory experience required, on the job training is provided.

Qualifications:

• Required to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and files.

• experience with various office software (word processing and spreadsheets)

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a highly dynamic environment

• Must be able to perform basic calculations and covert data to appropriate units.
