Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.
Hours: 8am-3pm
Grade Levels: K-6th grade
Location: Justice, IL
Caseload: Typically around 30 students
In this position, you will:
Play a crucial part in supporting kindergarten through 6th-grade students who benefit from smaller, more individualized classroom settings
Work across two schools
Collaborate with 3 school psychologists in the districts
Participate in bimonthly department meetings
Engage with a diverse student population where the main languages spoken are Polish, Arabic, and Spanish, creating a rich, multicultural environment

Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.
Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).
Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.
Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed
Facilitate IEP meetings
Develop and track interventions to understand IEP effectiveness.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
License eligible in the State of Washington
Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
