Facility Technician I

The Facility Technician for Waynoka, OK is responsible for performing hands-on operations, such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading van trailers while ensuring all required paperwork is completed for waste tracking. You will be working out of the Railcar facility in Avard, OK. This position offers a guaranteed 40-hour work week as well as the opportunity for internal advancement.
Pay: $18.00 an hour
Monday – Friday plus overtime

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
Perform hands-on operations such as pumping and dumping of 55-Gallon drums, tanks farm operations and loading/offloading van trailers
Perform drum storage, drum repacks and drum tracking
Operate a forklift when needed
Complete paperwork for waste tracking/management
Other duties as assigned
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
HS Diploma or equivalent
6 months related work experience
Ability to work in adverse environments (cold/heat)
Forklift and DOT training preferred
Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes nights and weekends

Employees are responsible for following and adhering to safe work practices and all provisions found in the Lab Pack Consolidation SOP. Employees must review lab pack inventory sheet, integrity of drums and containers prior to opening, repacking and pouring off. Employees need to report to their Supervisor for any discrepancies and issues of safety concern.
Any incidents, including near misses, are to be reported immediately to the supervisor.
Ensure that all lab pack sheets are reviewed. Segregate incompatible chemicals prior to repacking and pouring off.
Do compatibility test for every container to be poured off. Ensure all lab pack sheets are kept in file with drum number on top of right corner.
Segregate and consolidate waste containers on working table based on waste class and pH.
Do tracking through WINWEB Many to One screen.
Training requirements include:
HazWoper training
Hazard Communication for waste handling
OSHA regulated substances, as required (e.g., arsenic, lead, cadmium, etc.)
RCRA training
SOP training
Equipment training (e.g., forklift, handy pumps, scrubber operation, etc.)
