Experience success from day one as a Speech-Language Pathologist at a school district in Holdenville, OK that will equip you to succeed! This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule for the duration of the 2024 – 2025 school year. Ideal candidates will have recent pediatric/school-based experience, excel in independent time management, be proficient in evaluations, and have excellent communication skills. MORE ABOUT THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this  Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity include, but are not limited to:

Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement

Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children

Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments

Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of articulation, voice, hearing, stuttering, and language impairments

Provides screening to identify speech-handicapped children at regular intervals and at specified levels

Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students needs and to correct existing speech or language handicaps

Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by making suggestions for the students daily activities

Provides information, support, and counseling to parents and families when appropriate

Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school members on topics concerning speech improvement

Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:

Successful completion of National Certification Examination

1 years of recent pediatrics/school-based experience preferred

BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology

Active OK SLP license

ASHA certification
