JOB SUMMARY

Hybrid position located in Temple, TX

The Epic Learning Analyst II helps the accomplishments of Baylor Scott & White Health’s strategic goals by designing, developing and implementing Epic training programs using various media. The Epic Learning Analyst II is required to have multitude of skills and knowledge that includes training, instructional design, adult learning principles, Epic system applications, learning management systems and incident management system. You partner with multiple teams that include, but not limited to IS, Clinical Informatics and Quality. You perform the research and recommendations for corrective actions and resolution of problems within all Epic software for end users. You work to create online asynchronous training including lesson plans, lesson content, learning targets and assessment tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Provide effective Epic application help by responding to help desk tickets and end-user requests (including being on-call help).

Effectively provide onsite go-live help, upgrade help and ongoing Epic application help and optimization.

Serve as liaison between Epic end users, IS project team members and other IS resources as required.

Examine the effectiveness of Epic training programs against stated learning goals and modify training program to address opportunities for improvement.

Train, mentor and provide performance feedback to trainers, and super-users with respect to the associated Epic application.

Plans, designs, develops, implements and delivers customized Epic learning solutions and learning technology solutions throughout BWSH.

Applies continuous improvement processes to ensure quality learning and development interventions and services based on evaluation, feedback and business needs for Epic.

Selects and applies appropriate learning aids and learning materials to help Epic training in order to meet business and client needs through the use of adult learning best practices and technologies

Collects assessment and client feedback data, studies with teams to establish effectiveness of learning and development solutions, uses feedback and evaluation data to improve Epic training offerings.

Applies technologies such as e-learning, videos, podcasts, mobile learning and social learning as appropriate for Epic.

Develops online courses and learner evaluation instruments for Epic that meet LMS parameters and e-learning instructional design quality standards.

Evaluates learning technology solutions to ensure they are meeting the needs of Epic end users and the organization.

Some travel is required.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Credentialed in Epic applicable application within 1 year from date of hire

Proficient in as least one applicable Epic application (different than the credentialed application) within one year of hire.

Ability to work with Epic end users and troubleshoot Epic application issues.

Demonstrated customer-oriented service excellence principles.

Ability to present and conduct training

Advanced proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and email software applications, LMS, incident management system and e-learning technology.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills, among facility customers and team members.

Knowledge of the ADDIE process model for the training project life-cycle to include the feedback and revision loop.

A quick learner of software and information technology and motivated to learn new applications.

Epic application knowledge to build, test, help and train preferred.

Knowledgeable in adult learning techniques.

Technical writing skills.

Comfortable working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.

– EDUCATION – Bachelors or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
