Job Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides assistance to the physical therapist in developing and implementing physical therapy treatment, procedures, and related activities for direct patient care.
Scope
As a Physical Therapy Assistant you need to know how to:
Assists Physical Therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries from accidents or from diseases with resultant functional limitations.
Assists Physical Therapists to fulfill patient treatment plan and procedures such as exercises, and with other modalities.
Records patient therapy treatment, patient responses to treatments, and outcomes of each treatment.
Keeps treatment area clean and organized in preparation for each patients therapy.
Performs some clerical tasks such as ordering supplies.
Provides scheduling when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in related field is required.
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required
Current/valid state certification or licensure for Physical Therapist Assistant is required
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required.
Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$23.25 – $35.89
