Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to design and manage projects in our successful Water business in the Southwest. The Chandler Stantec office has a 40-year history working on irrigation projects in Arizona and has delivered many of the most significant agricultural irrigation and municipal conveyance projects in the region. Your Key Responsibilities
Project Technical Leadership: Lead the technical execution of agricultural and water projects, with an emphasis on irrigation systems including pipelines and open channel conveyance, regional conveyance facilities, pumping systems, and local water and sewer systems.
Mentoring, training, and supervision of junior engineers.
Preparation of engineering reports, drawings, and specifications related to irrigation planning and design and other related water conveyance projects.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams, clients or other consultants.
Undertake field work or field investigations where required.
Assist in proposal preparation where required.
Attend in house and formal training sessions to ensure continuing professional development.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Proven irrigation system planning and design experience.
Experience on other related water conveyance projects considered an asset.
Understanding of all phases of project implementation, and strong understanding of engineering design processes.
Experienced with hydraulic analysis/modeling.
Passion for team building and collaboration.
Education and Experience
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, agricultural engineering, or a similar engineering degree.
Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
