SAIC is seeking a Mission Architect , in El Segundo, CA , to provide systems engineering, mission architecting and analysis support to the Space Systems Command within the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) and Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communication (SSC/BC) directorates. These directorates oversee the planning, development, testing, deployment, integration, and sustainment of a portfolio that consist of Space Control capabilities. The position supports the architecting of the Space Control enterprise that consists of counter space operations such as Orbital, Electromagnetic & Cyber space Warfare.

Key Duties/Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Responsible for providing leadership advice on mission engineering strategies for SoS architectures and strategic messaging to key operational and government stakeholders.

Provide systems engineering and mission architecting support.

Responsible for technical requirements generation/review/compliance, space systems technical review and assessment, and risk assessment.

Identify activities and functions critical to mission thread development, deriving and modeling the as-is and to-be functional and physical architectures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a relevant discipline with 9 years of experience with:

Systems Engineering, Architecting.

Military Space Operations with an emphasis in Space Control.

SSC FIELDCOM, HQ USSF, and other USSF, DoD, and IC organizations.

Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).

Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree, 7 years of experience is preferred.

Experience working in development environment and, or U.S. Government weapons system program office.

Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, etc.).

Knowledge of digital engineering and operational analysis processes and tools, as well as their application in producing data-driven analysis results.

Target salary range: $120,001 – $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
