Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, U.S. Communications, Surgery, this critical role will lead product communications for Johnson & Johnson MedTechs Surgery business, delivering excellence in launch communications, marcomms activations, public relations, social media, and cross-sector awareness campaigns.

Partnering closely with business leaders, global and regional marketing teams, and medical, clinical, and regulatory affairs teams, this role will build the strategy for product and broader brand-level communications campaigns, organize and manage resources for impactful global and regional activations, and show impact of campaigns reaching media, customers, employees, and investor audiences.

This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in the highly-regulated healthcare industry and strategic internal and external communications.

Lead global product communications for the Surgery business, excelling in launch communications, product narrative development, and broader product campaign communications that connect healthcare trends with the Surgery portfolio.

Serve as a valued counselor to a team of leaders across technology platform leaders, brand and marketing, R&D, Commercial, and Medical, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs to connect business and brand objectives with communications strategy and outcomes.

Drive a consistent approach to product and disease awareness communications for deployment globally and regionally within specific markets in partnership with cross-sector J&J communications teams.

Bring external results back to employees showcasing media, social media, and campaign wins for commercial teams and broader global employee base.

Manage agency and contractor resources to support the transformation and employee communications programs, ensuring quality and excellence in all communications products.

Partner across the J&J enterprise, working with other Surgery, region, and sector communications leaders to connect global strategy to in-market communications opportunities and localization of product communications programs.

Proactively drive results across earned and paid media and social media channels and partner to manage issues as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required in communication, journalism, PR, public affairs, or closely related field

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Minimum Of ten (8) Years Of Experience Managing Communication in a large company, NGO, Government Agency Or Public Relations Agency.

Demonstrated ability to build deep, authentic, successful relationships with top executives and scientists and strong influence with senior internal and external partners.

Outstanding attention to detail with superior writing and presentation development skills.

Proven track record of successful, independent public relations/communications, corporate communication, science communication, product communication, public affairs, and/or media relations achievements.

Current or past work experience in external communications or marketing.

Deep understanding of media and business analytics, traditional media, digital and social platforms and strong experience with national and local consumer, professional/trade and social media.

Experience in leading budgets, agency partners, and prioritization across large critical projects.

Preferred:

Proven experience in healthcare communications.

Other:

Up to 10% domestic and international travel required

Salary:

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 118000 to 203550.

California Bay Area – The anticipated base pay range for this position is 136000 to 234140.

Bonus:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.

Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year
