Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer, reporting to the Director of Maintenance & Engineering, is tasked with enhancing the operational reliability of process and packaging systems. This role focuses on improving overall equipment effectiveness through effective maintenance planning, problem-solving, machine analysis, technical training, and the application of predictive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with process engineering, training, and operations teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.

Develop and implement technical training programs for Operator Based Maintenance, including skills matrices and competency assessments.

Assist in creating design and installation specifications and commissioning plans to ensure equipment reliability and maintainability.

Contribute to the evaluation and selection of equipment, technical MRO suppliers, and maintenance service providers.

Oversee the final inspection of new installations, including factory and site acceptance testing to ensure compliance with functional specifications.

Lead initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and control systems.

Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine asset maintenance plans, including value-added preventive maintenance tasks and predictive testing methodologies.

Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other issues affecting plant operations, including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance.

Utilize data analysis techniques such as statistical process control, reliability modeling and prediction, fault tree analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).

Provide technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in maintenance reliability engineering.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Proficiency in predictive maintenance principles and data analysis techniques.
