Embark on a fulfilling career journey by joining the Environmental Services Team at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) as an EVS/OR Technician. Your role as an EVS/OR Technician is crucial in executing a diverse range of general cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness standards of the Operating Room, Day Surgery Unit, patient rooms, corridors, hallways, and designated hospital areas in adherence to EVS Policies and Procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring essential supplies availability and actively engaging as a collaborative team member alongside nurses, physicians, and various departments, making you an integral part of our team.
What you’ll do day to day:
Follow specific tasks outlined in shift, area-specific, and discharge checklists.
Prepares, cleans, and terminally cleans OR rooms according to OR/Housekeeping protocols; assists with patient transfers; maintains supplies and completes scheduled cleaning tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Collects and disposes of waste, cleans and disinfects DSU rooms and stretchers between patients, performs terminal cleaning, and maintains floors according to hospital protocols.
