A Senior Gas and Construction Inspector is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Spring Valley, NY area. This role involves overseeing gas construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, and OSHA regulations, while possessing managerial skills, technical expertise.

responsibilities:

Experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction, with emphasis on gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting.

Oversight of construction projects related to gas transmission and/or distribution pipelines, gate stations, district regulator stations, and downgrades.

Management of multiple construction projects simultaneously, from design to final folder closeout.

Inspection of contractor work to ensure compliance with company specifications, proper work methods, and equipment usage.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, maps, plans, specifications, and procedures accurately.

Enforcement of OSHA requirements and maintenance of a safe work environment.

Maintenance of accurate and detailed field records, including daily job reports, material usage and locations, and field test records.

Skills: Proficiency in managerial skills, computer literacy, and a working knowledge of the utility industry.

Education and Experience:

Associates Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or equivalent work experience with a High school diploma.

Minimum of five years of prior experience and training in excavation, road, or utility construction, focusing on gas installations, plastic pipe installation, welding, and steel pipefitting.
