Machine Packer

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes.

We are hiring immediately Machine Packers for our manufacturing plant in Williamsburg, PA.

Machine Packer Requirements/Qualifications:

– The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
– 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
– Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
– Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills

Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:

– $16.72/hr shift premium $0.35/hr.
– 12 hour shifts – 2 days and 2 nights required : Day shift 7am — 7pm / Night shift 7pm — 7am
– Mandatory Overtime is required for 1-2 days during this busy season
– Opportunity to be promoted to a Machine Adjuster position if adequate mechanical skills are demonstrated after 90 days with the possibility to earn up to $21.71/hr if successful progress is being made based on the requirements for the position.

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

– Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.

– Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
– Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
– May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
– Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-

– Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
– Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
– Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
– Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
– Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
