  DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Social Services Case Aides within our Children and Youth Services Department are a vital part of the organization. The aidee will have access to a county vehicle with which he/she will be responsible for transporting children and their families to medical visits, family visits, appointments, etc., including locations outside the county limits. Along with assisting clients/residents and their families with activities of daily living. The case assistant will provide supervision for visitations as needed as well as other duties as assigned. Depending on the needs of clients, non-traditional hours may be necessary. The case assistant will work cooperatively in a team environment with other aides, clerks, caseworkers, and supervisors in an attempt to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families across the county.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
The position may require working some nights and weekends as necessary, in addition to the possibility of overtime hours.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
