DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will supervise the work of a general highway maintenance crew performing manual labor and operating heavy equipment to perform standard or routine maintenance and repair operations on or around assigned highways. Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records of all field work activities, promptly report any incidents or accidents, and participate in the resolution of complaints related to highways. You will also be responsible for monitoring road conditions within their designated area, recommending work priorities, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources to minimize downtime. This position includes year-round planning, carrying out, and finalizing all phases of a project or assignment. Although manual labor is a factor in this position, you will also be doing clerical work such as hiring, handling leave requests, training needs, and dealing with disciplinary actions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1; or
Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Drivers License.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
