Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description
– High School Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required (within 6 months after starting). – Must be comfortable on the phones and have previous delivery coordination and claims/billing experience. – Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel. – Perform basic office environment tasks. – Maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties. – Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. – Recognize common drug names, and select proper drug, dosage form, strength, and quantity for review by the Pharmacist. – Coordinate deliveries and pickups via phone throughout the work period. – Provide timely communication to the Pharmacist for checking and general activities including proper customer service, patient/employee safety, operational/schedule needs, and inventory control.
Hard Skills
