We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Software Engineer to join our ViQi Virtual Partner team. As a software engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing automated workflows using chatbot technologies. Our goal is to enable fast, accurate, and natural communication between human operators and real-time systems.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Develop mission-critical software solutions that are maintainable, testable, scalable, performant, and highly available.

Collaborate with an Agile team to review features, produce well-groomed stories, and provide estimates.

Promote and adhere to best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and quality assurance.

Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding best practices.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as implementing automated testing frameworks, improving performance optimizations, and enhancing development processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend their adoption to enhance the teams technical capabilities.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment and release processes.

Assist in defining and enforcing coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes.

Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other teams or departments within the organization.

Requirements:

5 years of software development experience, working with C# and Python.

Experience leveraging chatbot technologies and conversational design, such as AWS LexBot, GCP Dialogflow, Voiceflow, etc.

Expert knowledge of software design and best practices for the full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing methodology, security, and audit/monitoring requirements.

Strong experience developing containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, as well as serverless infrastructure like AWS Lambda.

Experience working with cloud-based solutions and configuration, specifically Azure, AWS, and GC.

Excellent written and oral communication skills to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment with teams spanning the globe.

Note: Candidate must reside in Eastern Time Zone.
