Electrician (Night Shift) 1:30pm – Midnight

Amentum is seeking an Electrician to join our team in McLean, VA. As an Electrician, you will inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, record, and make necessary tests on batteries and associated equipment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/Poly level clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.
Night shift: 1:30 pm – 12:00 am
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installations, testing, and inspection work to be done on electrical battery systems.
Install and repair battery equipment and associated circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
Test, inspect, clean, repair, and dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain, and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems associated with batteries.
Perform, in a timely manner, a preventive maintenance schedule specifically written foreach battery system.
Prepare and maintain records and reports on battery systems equipment, as required, for maintenance programs.
Take corrective action based on information obtained through testing and preventive maintenance procedures.
Perform protective inspection during facility additions and repairs as to insure safe and continuous operation of batteries.
Perform other related work as required.
Supervises other electricians and repair personnel as required.
Observe all safety practices, procedures, and directives.
Perform UPS and battery rounds.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Four years’ experience in the electrical trade in maintenance and/or construction required.
High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
Current Journeyman Electrical License required
Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/Poly level clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NFPA-70E Training.
OSHA 10 Training
CPR Training
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Active clearance of Secret or above is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally, incumbents may participate in work that requires walking, bending, squatting, and carrying materials throughout the facility. Workplace conditions necessitate following strict safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Work tasks requiring the incumbent to lift weight more than 50 pounds requires two or more persons.
