Job Description

– Perform MiG and Stick Welding

– Weld new parts onto machines and grind old parts off efficiently

– Read prints (simple drawings) to properly lay out rebar and build forms

– Set up metal forms that concrete is poured into, creating the pipe form (up to 10 ft tall and 6 ft wide)

– Clean metal forms by scraping dried concrete, using a sledgehammer, shoveling concrete, and lifting steel bars

– Conduct any other needed manual labor and maintenance

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ashland, Virginia. First Shift 6AM/7AM start time openings.

Work Environment

Open air concrete yard. Able to work in various weather conditions – hot, cold, rainy, windy, dusty. Required to wear steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and long pants (recommend long shirt to prevent cuts from concrete). Work hours can extend to 10-hour days if needed but aim to keep it at 8 hours. Includes a 45-minute lunch (15 minutes paid).
