Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Control Manager for our team. This role is crucial due to a recent significant award. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of construction experience and at least 1 year as a Quality Control Manager on federal projects. Ideal candidates should possess typical QCM certifications, including OSHA, and must be adept at working with Engineering Technicians. Computer literacy is essential as the role involves using a laptop in the field. Experience with RMS software is preferred for sending reports to the Government.
Hard Skills
Completed Construction Quality Management for Contractors course and current certification (preferred)
Experience with EM385-1-1
Experience with the 3 phases of quality control on Government construction contracts
Familiarity with conducting preparatory meetings and initial inspections
Ability to manage, develop, and track RFIs
Preparation and transmission of project submittal & O&M documents
Experience with field testing coordination including outside testing agencies
Maintaining as-built drawings
Soft Skills
Ability to conduct and keep minutes of the QC/Production Meeting
Work closely with the superintendent and project manager in coordinating quality and production activities
Observing and inspecting daily field activities for compliance with plans and specifications
