Field Engineer V

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Travel Requirements : Up to 25%

Location: Norfolk, VA and Chesapeake, VA

SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Field Engineer V to provide electrical support and analysis of developmental and production of electronic and radar equipment for multiple radar systems.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

· Perform electrical installation and electronic troubleshooting.

· Conduct consultations for project implementation: logistics of construction area, materials, time required, labor required, and associated cost estimates.

· Survey work for construction and installation including topographic surveys, area layout and mapping, and preparing areas for electrical installation.

· Operate electronic test equipment to collect and analyze data.

· Identify and develop test cases based on requirement documents.

· Write technical reports.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

· Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.

· Ten (10) years of experience performing advanced technical work in support of production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.

· Four (4) years of progressive experience as a technician performing work, which required advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems.

· Experience with following:

o Operating classified systems.

o Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams and technical manuals.

o MS Office products

· Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on contractual requirements.
