Methodist Home for Children is seeking Direct Support Staffin New Bern, NC.
– The primary responsibility of Direct Support Staff is to provide program services to intervene with adolescents being served in the group home.
– The positions job responsibilities include implementing direct treatment services through use of the agencys model of care, providing residential care services, and working with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in the youth home and community settings.
– Paid training is provided!
Pay is $31,200 annually, depending on education and experience.
Qualifications:
– Must be twenty-one (21) years of age;
– High School Diploma/GED
– Experience working with youth
– Must maintain a valid Drivers License and an acceptable driving record
– Must successfully complete all phases of pre-service and on-going training, including, but not limited to,
physical restraint training, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration
– Must be able to work in a high pressure, high stress environment
Benefit are available after 90 days of employment:
Paid Holidays: MHC gives full-time employees paid holidays each year.
Vacation Leave:First partial calendar year of hire is pro-rated at 10 days (80 hours) per year
Sick Leave: Paid sick leave is accumulated at 12 days (96 hours) per calendar year. All unused sick leave will carry over into the next calendar year.

Life Insurance:Term life insurance is provided by MHC for full-time staff in the amount of 1x the employees annual salary. Supplemental life insurance is available for individual or family coverage.
Workers Compensation: This agency-paid benefit covers on-the-job injury.
403B Plan: Employees can contribute to a tax-deferred annuity plan; MHC matches a portion of the contributed funds.
Credit Union: All employees are offered membership to the Coastal Credit Union (CCU).
