Responsibilities
Recruit, educate and select volunteers
Establish a need for volunteer services and maintain monthly statistics
Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation
Supervise and evaluate volunteers and maintain current personnel files
Provide information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services
Participate in interdisciplinary group meetings
Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

Additional Job Information
College degree, advanced degree in human services preferred
2 years experience in healthcare
Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred
Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel
