Logistics Operator

FFP

Plan, organize, and participate in the daily operations of Dry, Freezer, and Cooler Warehousing, Shipping & Receiving, and Logistics. Clearly communicate in a friendly, professional manner and perform related work as required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pulling and issuing materials to the production department

Receive materials and supplies from vendors, WIP, and finished goods

Verify physically all the material received in terms of lot numbers, quantity, and quality of package

Print drums/ingredients labels for all the product received according to shipping documents and COAs

Keep updated all data entry in the system as needed (production – Finish Goods)

Shipping of finished goods and other materials

Participates in quarterly inventories and weekly cycle counts

Maintains area to meet SQF and GMP requirements

Able to work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings

Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy

Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments

Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets

Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required

Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions

Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed

Loads trucks / unloads trucks using a forklift

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

the MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ·

1 – 2 years’ previous operations experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Forklift certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance

Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse, loading dock and freezer
