JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for receiving, stocking, inventory issuance (expense to P&L) and satellite distribution of all general MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) parts for Technical Services.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads incoming shipments from suppliers or freight carriers. Checks parts for discrepancies to packing lists noting any inconsistencies and relaying that information to vendor and procurement. Checks parts for any damages and advises the carrier driver and departmental supervision. Verifies and receives parts into the inventory management computer system. Stores newly received parts in a bin controlled warehouse environment (including offsite warehouse) or in “will call” for pick-up or delivery. Assists with maintaining filing systems to maintain audit requirements.
Picks parts per requests from field Technicians in “real time” environment and completes weekly pulls for planned preventative maintenance. Completes appropriate documentation and data entry into Maximo for issuances and transfers. Manages material pick-ups from end user via will call logs to ensure appropriate documentation is kept. Drives vehicle to offsite location for pick-up and storage of parts.
Logs physical inventories and cycle counts into the inventory management system (Maximo) via wireless handheld scanners ensuring all locations are inventoried to maintain audit compliance.
Receives broken parts in need of repair from field technicians and pulls replacement inventory as required while verifying current inventory bin balance. Completes appropriate documentation via Broken Parts Material Issue form. May assist procurement by creating purchase requisitions for broken parts.
Manages department safety training compliance and coordinates team member class attendance as required.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures; detailed understanding of work unit.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED: Required
EXPERIENCE:
1-3 Years: Two years computer experience in Windows environment and spreadsheet knowledge required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required;
1-3 years Supply Chain / Logistics experience preferred;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: 120 hours of on the job training to learn Technical Services Supply Chain processes and the Maximo System.
