Ultium Cells Overview:

Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.

Job Summary:

This position designs, implements, and trains a wide variety of professional and educational content to our internal production and professional positions, including our leadership.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement training programs

Conceptualize training materials based on data and research

Create training materials

Develop assessments that determine the extent to which learning objectives were met

Plan and schedule training sessions

Conduct workshops, individual training sessions, etc.

Track and keep employee attendance and training records

Review employee training performance and learning

Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership

Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology and content

Test and review created materials

Conduct training through new materials

Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field preferred but BA not required

Five plus (5) years’ previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software

Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills

Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Certification from talent and training associations a plus

Fluency in the Korean language is helpful, but not required

Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms

Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
