Job Overview

Provides the resource to drive continuous improvement in the Admin area. This position will lead the Lean / Continuous Improvement implementation and develop/mentor a process improvement mindset and system. This includes driving 5S in the Admin building by managing the audits, activities, and results. The Continuous Improvement leader will provide problem solving, training, and technical support to all departments and other support as needed. Under limited direction, the Continuous Improvement leader will develop Kaizen Road maps and support project leaders and teams through: Value stream analysis, Kaizen facilitation, Team selection and management, Data collection and analysis, development, and implementation of process improvements. This position will a lso be responsible for assisting in the design discussions, UAT test creation, and testing of various system enhancements.

Key Job Responsibilities

Trains and develops employees to identify and solve problems using Komatsu Way processes and principles.

Serves as a change agent, promoting the use of continuous improvement methodology across all departments.

Drives the Strategy Deployment process with monitoring of monthly metrics, driving root cause investigation and counter measure implementation for misses to plan.

Identifies opportunities for use of Continuous Improvement strategies and proper tool applications.

Manage 5S program by developing effective audits, office patrols and ensuring 5S is included in all process improvement activities.

Coordinate and lead Kaizen Events.

Updates and seeks improvements to current work processes, benchmarks with world class companies to seek best industry practices.

Assist in the design phase UAT test creation and testing for specific system enhancements.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Skills

Education required: High School diploma.

Experience required: Strong understanding of the functionality of the NPS systems (P-mates, KPP, Oneslogi)

Preferred Skills

Ability to identify problems, define problem statement clearly and accurately, and apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify data-driven root causes.

Absolute integrity and honesty in all dealings with employees and senior management.

Proven ability to positively drive cultural change, create flexibility when necessary, and motivate personnel to achieve stretch goals.

Ability to train, develop and motivate personnel.
