This is a job for a Retail Operations and Development Specialist I with a company located in the Greenville, MS area.
Job Summary: As a field-based Retail Operations and Development Specialist I, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of retail stores. This role requires strong collaboration with local leaders and travel as you support the sales process, tools and applications, operations, and more. Your job is to be a champion for retail operational excellence and work in collaboration with the broader Retail Operations and Sales team to solve every problem and create a better customer and employee experience. This role reports to the Manager of Regional Retail Operations.
Responsibilities: Manage the rule, not the exceptions, to be a champion for retail operational excellence and channel wide solutions as it relates to sales processes, tools and applications, and more. Be the eyes and ears to bring opportunities and proposed solutions to HQ team. Interact with a high daily volume of concerns, process orders, answer questions, and help with overall needs from the retail team (e.g., mobile, fixed line). Perform, organize, and streamline operational tasks to reduce potential errors. Monitor problems through reports and take immediate action where necessary and resolve escalations when required. Assist with testing of existing and new retail tools and applications (e.g., POS / billing systems / buy flows, etc.). Provide technical assistance to the retail stores in-person, via email/Microsoft Teams, etc. Experienced and proficient in running down the solution, and not the workaround
Qualifications: High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred. 2 years of sales, operations, or related experience a plus! Proficient in MS Office including Teams, Excel, Access, Word, and SharePoint. Experience with front-end and back-end sales systems, including but not limited to, POS systems, CRM systems, and sales automation tools. Proactive, self-motivated, self-sufficient with strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Curious and detail oriented — leave no stone unturned but has the business acumen to prioritize actions. Desire to grow and learn! Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willing to travel up to 75% to be regularly present in the Optimum field across the footprint.
