Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

Performs a variety of duties as needed to assist in the operational functions of the Wellness Complex to include but, not limited to customer service desk operations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree and 1-3 years experience with database management or Scholarship Universe software support.

           

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , include the following.

Other duties may be assigned. Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices

SCHOLARSHIP UNIVERSE

Maintain the applicant & institutional portal for all 700 scholarships within the Hinds Community College Foundation.

Update scholarship endowments & annual balances for awarding purposes.

Coordinate with the Director of Development & Scholarships the awarding process through the HCC Scholarship Committee.

Facilitate the awarding of scholarships with the Office of Financial Aid & Student Business Services each semester.

Provide proper reporting to donors & college officials on scholarship awards & availability.

Assist with the three annual Scholarship recognition events at Hinds Community College.

FOUNDATION

Assist with incoming telephone calls.

Assist visitors, donors, constituents who visit Fountain Hall.

Greet incoming patrons in courteous, helpful, and positive manner.

Adhere to and enforce Hinds Foundation rules and regulations.

Assist with Hinds Foundation special events as needed.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities in the outdoors and off site.
