There are over 250 advanced practice providers within Akron General. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide the support that allows advanced practice provides to care for patients. This is a crucial role in preparing onboarding for advanced practice providers, scheduling meetings and rooms and ordering supplies, phones, lab coats and other essential items to support patient care. Its vital that the caregiver in this role adheres to the core values of confidentiality, trust, respect and teamwork.
A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday from 7:00AM – 4:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform a variety of duties such as scheduling, handling phone calls, greeting patients, correspondence and assisting with special projects and management functions.
Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively such as acting as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting patients and answering and triage phone calls.
Administer calendars and schedule management.
Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.).
Provide coverage of other areas such as front end, point of service and registration.
Coordinate management functions and assist in special projects.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED.
Three years of office experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associates degree.
Ability to type 35 WPM with accuracy.
Basic knowledge of advanced practice careers (PA, APRN, CRNA, CNS, Nurse Midwife, etc.).

Physical Requirements:
A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC/word processor.
Normal or corrected vision.
Ability to tolerate extensive sitting and frequent walking to other parts of the campus.
Lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $16.47
Maximum hourly: $23.61
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidates actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidates work history, experience, skill set, and education.
