American Battery Solutions has a full time opening for a Human Resource Generalist in Springboro, Ohio.
Job Summary
The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) position serves as the liaison supporting all Human Resources functions within American Battery Solutions (ABS) and must be experienced in managing the full employment life cycle. The HRG is a key player in managing the recruiting process and participates in implementing HR policies, procedures, programs and day-to-day administration of HR processes.
Responsibilities
Lead recruitment efforts for the site including screenings, scheduling interviews, attending career fairs, and working with local workforce agencies.
Manage position requisitions for online postings.
Attract applicants through various means including LinkedIn, networking, job boards, career fairs, location state employment agency, and other sources to generate candidate interest.
Develop and maintain candidate pipelines in advance of hiring needs.
Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings. Helps develop and maintain position descriptions.
Supports pre-placement hiring activities including processing background checks, ADP onboarding and other tasks as required.
Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding documentation.
Assist with educating newly hired and current employees on HR policies, internal procedures, benefits, payroll, and other employment related matters.
Provide support and guidance when sensitive questions and issues arise; administer and execute investigations, performance improvement process and disciplinary action.
Work closely with management and employees to positively influence the culture, improve and maintain work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Maintain employment records.
Prepare and support communications.
Manage employee off-boarding process including internal notifications, employee transition support and conducts exit interviews and follow-up.
Assist with planning and execution of employee events.
Participate and engage in the Wellness Committee.
Monitor time and attendance in ADP.
Ability to work off shift hours and travel when needed.
Adhere to federal and state regulations.
Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications
Bachelors degree in human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive professional HR experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of recruitment experience.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient in ADP preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in technical or manufacturing industry (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
