Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

An aerospace company in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team. Responsibilities include:

 Cyber Evaluation of Jet Engine and Jet Engine Test Technology:

o Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity evaluations of jet engine and jet engine test technologies.

o Identify and mitigate potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities in jet engine test systems.

o Familiarity with Operational Technologies and corresponding standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).

o Familiarity with Cybersecurity Frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, ISO 27001).

o Familiarity with Cybersecurity regulations (US Export Control, PII, UK MOD) to include contract law(DFARS 252.204-7012, DFARS 252.204-7021, FAR 52.204-21, FAR 52.204-21, DFARS 252.239-7018, DFARS 252.204-7018)…

 System Security Plan Work:

o Develop, implement, and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) for jet engine and test technologies.

o Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.

 Cyber Capabilities Support for Test and Evaluation of Equipment:

o Provide cybersecurity expertise during the test and evaluation phases of equipment.

o Assess and enhance the cyber resilience of test equipment.

 Functional Support for Test and Evaluation of Technical Down Selection:

o Offer functional cybersecurity support during the technical down selection process.

o Evaluate and recommend secure technical solutions.

 Advisement of Others:

o Advise project teams and stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and risk management.

o Provide guidance on cybersecurity policies and procedures.

 Advisement in Support of Hardening and Fulfillment of Cyber Obligations:

o Support the hardening of systems and fulfillment of cybersecurity obligations.

o Ensure systems meet required security standards and protocols.

 Direct Assistance with Cybersecurity and Controlled Title Holder Staff:

o Collaborate with cybersecurity and controlled title holder staff to meet jet engine test and program requirements.

o Provide direct cybersecurity support and expertise.

 Creation and Building of Cybersecurity Services and Cybersecurity Service Rails:

o Develop and implement cybersecurity services and service rails tailored to jet engine technologies.

o Ensure robust and scalable cybersecurity solutions.

Skills and Requirements

-CISSP Certification.

-Minimum of ten years of experience as a cybersecurity practitioner, with a focus on supporting complex technical environments.

-Must have an undergraduate degree. -Advanced degree

-Provide support for classified tests, ensuring compliance with security protocols.

-Maintain necessary clearances and adhere to classified information handling procedures null
