We have initiated an effort to deploy S/4 HANA (ERP) to significantly reduce the size and complexity of Fords technical footprint, refocus on differentiating capabilities, and standardize business processes. The current ERP focus is on the transformation of Finance and Direct Procurement. As an SAP FICO Functional Specialist , you would be responsible for the SAP S4 Hana General Ledger through working knowledge and configuration experience.

This is a hybrid position where you will collaborate with colleagues and teams in our Dearborn, MI office

What you’ll be able to do:

Work effectively with global product owners, product managers, and software engineers to assist in the implementation of the SAP ERP product on S/4 HANA.

Receive hands-on experience with the SAP ERP solution by learning how to configure the product to support the business, delivering new features to the ERP product via software development when needed.

Acquire analytical skills needed to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Participate in the transformation of the Finance, Purchasing, and Foundational Products teams to a Product Driven Organization using Agile best practices.

Assist with the functional integration of strategic initiatives across components of the SAP solution.

Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets user requirements.

Development of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).

Support testing on the SAP platform.

Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents.

Help with solution design and perform unit testing/integration testing and UAT.

The minimum requirements we seek:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

5 years of configuration experience in S4 FI and CO modules: FI-GL, AP, AR, AA required. CO-PC, CO-CCA, CO-ML, CO-PA desirable.

Prior experience in creating Use cases, user stories, and other requirements/specifications artifacts.

Demonstrate in providing functional specifications and work with Software Engineers (ABAP, PCF, Fiori) Conducting and supporting testing on the SAP platform.

1 years’ experience in multiple implementations of SAP ERP solutions with full life-cycle participation.

Previous experience in participating in solution design and performing unit testing/integration testing and UAT.

Our preferred qualifications:

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

Experience working in a multi-company code, multi-currency environment is required.

Ability to perform in-depth hands-on configuration of required SAP FICO modules.

Analyze problems and troubleshoot to find the root cause.

Ability to read and debug ABAP code (but not perform any technical development).

Good knowledge of integration with other S4 modules – Purchasing, Sales and Production

Development experience using various SAP development technologies including but not limited to the following: ABAP, Integration, and UI tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in a Product Driven Agile Organization.
