Direct Support Staff-Part Time

Qualifications:

– Must be 18 years of age or older
– Good physical and mental health
– Good moral character
– Experience working with persons with disabilities
– Experience working with adolescents and/or children
– Experience in customer service
– Good attendance and punctuality – reliable and flexible
– Valid drivers license

Job Responsibilities:

– Perform personal care duties for individuals
– Must be capable of appropriately handling emergency situations
– May need to support individuals with ambulation/mobility program
– Must be able to lift/move objects greater than 50lbs
– Be an advocate and provide community support while out in the community
– Attend all staff meetings and in-services/trainings and pass all required classes
– Ability to prioritize tasks
– Plan outings and setup transportation
– Communicate effectively with consumers and other staff
