### Position Summary

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an MD/DO qualified physician to perform clinical assessments and assist with call on the Michigan Department of Education funded Prevent2Protect program.  The individual selected will also provide clinical supervision to residents and participate in teaching residents and medical students within the Colleges of Human Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine. The effort breakdown is as follows:

– – Prevent2Protect program — .5 FTE
– Clinical Supervision for residents — .2 FTE
– Teaching (Residents and Medical Students) — .1 FTE

Please note that all clinical faculty in the department are required to cover call at one of our affiliated inpatient units.  This position is required to cover two weeks of call annually on the adult psychiatric unit.

### Required Degree

Doctorate

### Minimum Requirements

– Board certified or eligible MD or DO degree
– Successful completion of a Child/Adolescent Fellowship program
– Possess a physician license in the state of Michigan
– Demonstrate a history of clinical responsibilities, including experience working with child/adolescents that have displayed either suicidal or homicidal ideologies
– Possess excellent communication skills

### Desired Qualifications

– Strong interest working in an academic setting (University, teaching hospital, etc.)
– Prior experience supervising residents and/or medical students
