Job Description

At this company, you have the autonomy to manage your own projects, overseeing them from inception to completion. This ensures you have a hands-on role in brining your visions to life.

They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Project Manager. In this role, you will maintain constant contact with customers, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills. You will visit sites to gather visual information, spec and size out equipment, and design it accordingly.

Hard Skills

HVAC design and engineering

Drafting and blueprinting

Knowledge of local, national, and state codes

Equipment, duct, and piping selections

Sizing of heating and cooling loads

Estimating and pricing of equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractors

Drafting CAD for equipment, duct, and pipe layout

Working with registered engineers and inspectors for design approvals

Office procedures for system design through job costing

Collaborating with salespeople on installation projects

Proposal presentations

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with an initial contract duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders and stairs, operating a motorized vehicle, extended periods of walking, exposure to potentially harmful chemicals or materials with proper PPEs, hearing and speaking to exchange information, kneeling or crouching to accomplish tasks, and seeing for computer data entry. Must be able to speak and write legible English.
